Along with a few friends I started a food blog entitled The Best Sunday Lunch to chart our search for the, no surprise here, best Sunday lunch in the UK (and beyond). The response we received was completely unexpected, we found ourselves welcomed by the online community, inundated with tips on where to go and started receiving invitations to all kinds of fun events (and not just food related). Poor quality phone snaps no longer cut it so I invested in a DSLR and found myself enjoying a new hobby.

 

2016 I won Macallan's  #mapmymacallan photography contest which culminated in a once-in-a-life-time  trip to the Tevasa cooperage in Jerez, Spain. An incredible experience and fabulous photographic opportunity.

2017 continues to be a year of creativity and learning as I strive to improve. I was hugely honored to be chosen as a finalist in the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2017 competition and elated to take 2nd place in the Errázuriz wine category at the awards ceremony held in the Mall Galleries on the 25th April 2017.

 

2022 Five years (and 1 pandemic) on and I've been able to take what was purely a hobby to a (part-time) paying job. Thanks to exposure from the Pink Lady® Food Photographer winners exhibit I've had photos published in Decanter and other print magazines. Been shortlisted in a few other prizes and commissioned for commercial work. I look forward to what this new year brings. Thanks for coming along for the ride!
